Dog Training

What Our Client's Are Saying...

"I have been very pleased at the progress my Basenji, Perry, has made due
to Nicole Shinton's "Sit means sit" dog training. Basenjis are not an
easy breed, being hard headed sighthounds with a high prey drive. Since
having lessons with Nicole's able assistant, Jordy DiNatale, Perry has
progressed rapidly to becoming a truly "off leash" Basenji, capable of
rambling through the woods and recalling promptly from all the enticing
distractions that presents. He learned quickly and now looks forward to
freedom he was never able to experience before. I am happy to have found
Nicole's dog training classes and I am very impressed with Perry's
progress. All of my expectations have been met, and I would highly
recommend 'Sit means sit" as an excellent way to progress to off leash
work with your dog. I have had some experience in the past with training
my own dogs, but it was great to learn a new and effective method from
Nicole and Jordy. Thanks, guys! And Perry thanks you too. He is really
enjoying his off leash freedom!"

"Hi Nicole,
I wanted to thank you and your team at Sit Means Sit Uxbridge for the great work you have done with Tommy. We found Tommy through a rescue operation that pulled him from a high volume pound in Ohio. Once we brought Tommy home we noticed he had some "issues" he needed to work out. Tommy displayed aggression to all people that entered his space and extreme aggression to all dogs, he would even dig under our fence to fight other dogs in the park behind our house. Tommy was also very protective of my wife and would growl and even bite me if I sat to close to her. After two months and having Tommy bite several people and dogs we realized we needed help!

I went online and found your website, after a great demo we signed Tommy up and completed our one on one lessons. Immediately we noticed a difference in Tommy's attention and anxiety levels, he became much calmer and easier to work worth. It has been about two months now and although Tommy is still a little unsure of himself around other dogs he is great around people and has not bitten any people nor dogs since attending Sit Means Sit classes! He is much happier at the house and in the back yard and has stopped digging out. He heels perfectly at my side when on walks with no pulling and can perform sit, place, down, paw, up and off on a consistent basis.

We will continue working with Tommy at Sit Means Sit Uxbridge and would recommend them to anyone looking for training for their dogs!"

"Before Dakota went for his Sit Means Sit training he was unable to be around
other dogs or strangers as there was a chance that he might bite them.  He
was also very difficult to walk and would jump up on people all the time.
With the help of Sit Means Sit he has become much more sociable with dogs
and people and we can even walk him off his leash.  Thank you Sit Means Sit!"
