Regional Seminar - August 14-16, 2009

Sit Means Sit Uxbridge was proud to host the Region 4 Trainers Seminar this past weekend. We had 15 Sit Means Sit Trainers here from as far away as Chicago! All the trainers brought their dogs to train with Fred Hassen, CEO and founder of Sit Means Sit, and Head Trainers Lianne Hassen and Ashton Fitz-Gerald, all from the Head Office in Las Vegas.

We had a fantastic time learning new dog training and marketing skills, and even engaged in some friendly competitions, including the dogs bobbing for tennis balls!

Having Fun at the SMS Training Weekend

In September we had our annual trainers gathering for all the SMS locations. In addition to educational features, we also did some public demonstrations. In the following video, the first nervous participants having a Malinois jump over them are none other than yours truly, Milo and myself. While the video shows only one jump, in actual fact Milo and I were subjected to quite a few attempts. Notice my nervous laughter in the background.....

We are very pleased to welcome Jordache DiNatale to our Sit Means Sit location. Jordie has been a dog trainer for many years and used to work at Pet Peeves in Goodwood, Ontario. Do You Own More Than One Dog?

Then this video is for you.....find out how easy training multiple dogs is on the Sit Means Sit training system!

Lyndie, a Sit Means Sit dog training client, shows how she can control 4 of her big Rottweilers in one of the Sit Means Sit dog training classes at once. The Sit Means Sit dog training system, has made it feasible to have control of multiple dogs and to level the playing field of strength factor when controlling strong dogs, and has made it so the general public can attain it as well. In this video, you see Lyndie go around a room full of dogs and pick up each one individually, drop them all off individually, jog briefly with them, and stop before an open door.

The Mane Event 2008

Sit Means Sit dog training holds our annual ‘Main Event’, which is a gathering of the Sit Means Sit dog training business owners from around the country. Everywhere from San Diego California to New York City and in between, and this year our Australia location owner was in attendance as well!.

This Video is a montage of clips from our 3 day event that covers lots of training to keep our trainers constantly on the cutting edge of our results oriented dog training businesses. We even got to tie in a very fun dock dogs event!

September 2008 Newsletter

It is hard to believe that Fall is around the corner! Already the night air is beginning to hint at the cool weather to come. September marks our location's "one month anniversary" since we officially opened, and we have been surprised and overwhelmed by the interest our community is showing. Our client numbers are growing daily and what an amazing group we have so far. From some very hyper, disobedient dogs right through to dog and people aggressive dogs, we have begun to watch some amazing transformations in a very short amount of time. Every single day we are lucky enough to do a job that we all love, and get to make a difference in the quality of life for our client's and their dogs.

What's New?

Our Building is Complete!

For those of you lucky enough to join us right at the beginning, you will recall us in the midst of finishing our facility. We are proud to report that the building is done, we now have our lighting in place, so the only thing left is to winter-ize it. Since our classes will run right through the heart of our Canadian winter, we will be insulating the building and installing a heat source. We will be able to enjoy all lessons and group classes in a toasty facility rather than braving the elements.

Group Classes Have Begun!

This week we began group classes for our clients. We have had a great turn-out and expect more and more people will join us - especially after they get to experience the fun and learning opportunities for their dogs. Every class has dogs of different levels so our trainers tailor each exercise according to the dog's abilities, plus we have fun activities to make all the learning a positive experience for both owners and dogs.

Come See Us at the Uxbridge Fair!

Sit Means Sit will have a booth at this weekends Uxbridge Fair, so be sure to join us for some demonstrations with our dogs! We will also be available for any questions or comments, as well as selling Sit Means Sit merchandise. Come and hang out, or just pop by to say hello..... we look forward to seeing you all there!!! For more information on the Fair go to: http://uxbridgefair.gotwisted.com/.

Thank-you!

To all of those who have joined our Sit Means Sit family, a big warm welcome. We are here for you and your dog, for the entire lifetime of your dog, so please feel free to contact us for any questions you might have. We want everyone to have the happiest, most confident and obedient dogs possible!
